Last week I reported that there was a very real danger that Launceston Post Office would have to close for a period over the summer as the landlord had not been in touch with the current operators about an extension to the lease. The deadline given then was close of play last night.
I am now told that there have been discussions between the different parties and a lease extension has been agreed.
Phew.
